3D printing process conference on 16 March 2017 in Ludwigshafen
“Additive Manufacturing: Opportunities and Challenges by 3D Printing” event is dedicated to on-going developments in 3D printing, in the areas of materials, application possibilities and hardware. The “transfer initiative” Rhineland-Palatinate isorganized on 16 March 2017, at 10:00 in The Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen. The importance of technology transfer in general and the dedicated process developped by Rhineland-Palatinate area are addressed by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Dr. Volker Wissing, and the transfer motto in the area of lightweight construction and new materials by Professor Dr. Dieter Jahn.
National and internationally renowned speakers will talk: as practice-oriented science, interesting projects will be presented for future application areas of additive production. For the first time, Schott AG reported on new developments in the use of glass in 3D printing and BASF SE on optimized additive manufacturing components for process engineering. The legal issues arising from the use of the process in the production or use of additive parts are going to be explained by Dr. Andreas Leupold, lawyer. At the exhibition area, the participants have the opportunity to get in contact with the speakers and to discuss many topics.
